When the club hires a Head Coach, the director favours the candidate whose youth trust is closest to this preference.
- Recruitment aggressiveness — How early the club moves for free agents each off-season: a more aggressive director gets an earlier pick among players other clubs also want. It never forces a signing the squad does not need.
- Continuity preference — Reluctance to let existing squad members go: a high value releases veterans later and gives up a player only from deeper cover; a low value is the first to supply a club missing a position.
- Upside vs. certainty — Preference for high-ceiling, less-proven signings over reliable, established performers. Recorded as a profile fact only; no current signing model can evaluate it.
- Value discipline — When the club signs a free agent, how much weight it gives to the player's valuation on the league's contract scale — the salary any contract for him would carry today. Above the midpoint, the director will take a slightly weaker player the scale values clearly lower; at or below it, valuation plays no part.
